My Favorite Place...Sulfur, Oklahoma

My favorite place would have to be Sulfur. My family and I have been going there since I was a child and in fact my mom and her siblings went there when they were children. Its a family traditions with loads of fun memories. When one of our family members learns to swim and can swim well we take them to teach them to jump off the waterfall in the image below. Its a wonderful experience and we always have a blast.

  1. Waterfalls are magical, Brooke! Looking at your picture makes me want to find some sounds-of-nature online radio station so that I can listen to the sound of running water! And how great that you found this picture online: we are really lucky for all the people who have shared photos like that online so we can all enjoy them.

As you can guess, waterfalls are also one of those places that prompt storytelling and local legends of all kinds... nobody has ever done a waterfall project for this class, but that would be a fun theme to work out, looking for different waterfall legends out there. Like Minnehaha for example, a legendary character who is is a mix of Native American tradition, literary improvisation, and commercialism, all rolled into one! As here: Minnehaha Park.

Meanwhile, your blog post looks super: text, image, link, layout, everything. You are good to go, and I hope you will have fun with the blogging to come this week!
